What Pierre thinks

My teacher asked me to write to you about gender discrimination. You answered a questionnaire about this topic. A class of my school answered the same questionnaire and we compared them. We saw that Indian and French students agree on almost all of the questions. For example we think there is no difference between girls and boys at school. But we don't agree on one question. You think that your parents want you to have good marks to be the best although we think our parents would like us to have good marks to have a good job.

In India and in France, pupils understand that going to school is a privilege. We totally agree on it.

In France, there is not a lot of gender discrimination. There is discrimination on salaries, women are paid less than men. At school, girls and boys are treated equally in France. We study in the same class.
