Après un travail sur le thème de l'imaginaire (contes traditionnels et versions revisitées), voici la "fractured tale" imaginée et rédigée par:

THE NEW STORY OF AURORA

Once upon a time, in the castle of a peaceful kingdom, a beautiful girl was born to King Stefan and Queen Leah.

During the day of her christening, the three fairy godmothers who were here tossed a blessing to the magnificent princess.

The fourth fairy godmother, Maleficent, wasn't invited to the ball. She lived in a dark land far away from the castle, alone, and nobody had seen her for years. The mean fairy was upset not to be invited but still decided to come. Her arrival brought a sudden silence in the castle's room. King Stefan broke the silence: "You are not welcome here!" Maleficent got even more upset in front of that cold welcome. She walked to the princess's cradle ignoring the king asking her to go out, and looked at the beautiful baby. She predicted to the princess a terrible thing at her sixteen's birthday celebration.

Time passed by, Aurora grew up happily and became more and more beautiful with the years. On the princess's sixteen's birthday, a majestic and prestigious ball was organized, in which princesses, princes, fairies and creatures coming from all over the kingdom were invited.

The pianist began to play his piece and the guests started dancing. In the middle of the ball, Aurora went in the direction of the buffet. A feeling dictated her to touch the fruit basket, she couldn't resist this feeling. When she touched the pineapple, she felt a needle that stung her.

Suddenly, she fell down like she was in a deep sleep. Everyone looked at her, wondering what was going on. The prince was the first one who looked after her.

Snow White came and said: "Don't touch her! I recognize these purple lips, these frozen hands and these red cheeks, I was empoisoned and that's exactly what happened to me".

 Prince Phillip announced that he wanted everybody in the main hall to interrogate them and know who did this.

The dark fairy, Maleficent, was the first suspect on the list, because of course, everybody remembered the spell she cast on Aurora 16 years ago. The prince, convinced he was about to catch the guilty guest, looked for Maleficent. But the fairy had vanished and none of the guests had seen her since Aurora fell down. Even more suspicious, thought the prince. The king sent immediately his knights to find her; meanwhile the prince continued questioning some other suspicious guests. Nothing was sure, it could have been anybody.

He started by questioning Princess Ariel. "I have reasons to think that she was stung by a pointed object", he said cautiously," and since you always carry a fork with you... Well I suppose that maybe, by accident, you may have stung her at some point? Maybe?". Proud of his detective skills he was waiting for a confession but instead Ariel replied while brushing distractedly her hair: "Hum I'm sorry what do you call a fork? Oh that comb! Well I will never think of stinging Aurora with a comb or with any other object! She's so nice to me, she always bring me those intriguing objects". Then she added with excitement, «Do you want to see them?".

Then the prince said "No I don't have the time for that I need to find who the criminal is. So, Pinocchio, have you stung for some reason Aurora?". Then Pinocchio said "No I'm not a criminal it is not me", the prince waited a minute and nothing happened, so the prince concluded it was not Pinocchio»

Those interrogations were useless but soon Maleficent was found and brought back to the castle to confess her crime. 

“Now you turn Maleficent, why have you stung Aurora?" The prince said. The prince had an idea in his head, acting as he knew it was Maleficent.

And then she said "It couldn't be me of course but I can't say why because I'm too ashamed of it. If I reveal my secret everyone will laugh at me. 

- Ridiculous! You are the criminal, it's obvious! 

- No! I swear it's not me! - Why did you run away then? 

- I can't tell you but I swear I didn't do anything wrong!

The three fairies who were quiet until this moment replied to this by: «obviously it can't be her it's logical she don't have any power we are the only ones who are magical and can cast a spell on the whole kingdom !"

Meanwhile the three little fairies were afraid of being damned for their past crimes. So they tried to escape from the tumult of indignation that was felt in the room. The people every one believed to be rightful and kind were being all the time during the bad guys of the story. They were hiding behind Maleficent's reputation. At least we knew that they did this on purpose. They were jealous of Aurora's beauty at her birth and wanted to be the only ones allowed to give beauty with their magical hands. But the guards of the king were faster than the little fairies' wings and were immediately caught.

So the prince realized that they got it wrong on the whole time.

Shocked by the news they had just learnt, he came in the ballroom to say to all people that the guilty had been arrested and they were locked in the keep of the castle until the end of their lives. It was time to show the identity of the culprits.

Prince Philip said to everyone in the ballroom, the truth. Everybody was shocked because no one thought it was possible that it was the three fairies. Because they were the good guys in the head of all the kingdom. The surprise invaded the room.

Everybody congratulated Maleficent to wake up Aurora and contrary to what she thought no one laughed at the fact that she hadn't any power. Aurora had been lying down on a flower bed and thanks to Maleficent she woke up and the whole case was resolved.

They lived all their lives in a kingdom where the hardship gets rid of and peace reigns now.
